Clement Banda, M.D., is the medical expert behind MD Laser Medicine & Surgery.  Drawing on more than 16 years of experience in the practice of medicine, Dr. Banda has transformed MD Laser Medicine & Surgery into Howard County's first and most experienced provider of Smartlipo™ and a leading provider of other minimally invasive laser procedures such as Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA™).

With a medical degree from the University of Zimbabwe (1989) and post-doctoral training from Michigan State (1994) and George Washington Universities (1995), Dr. Banda's professional medical career spans the practice of internal, emergency, vein and cosmetic laser medicine and surgery.  As an early adopter in the emergence of laser medicine and surgery as a medical specialty, Dr. Banda has received industry-leading vein, cosmetic laser and anti-aging training, including board certification by the Board of Certification in Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.  He is also a Registered Phlebologist.  Since founding MD  Laser Medicine & Surgery, he has safely and effectively performed hundreds of laser procedures and trained fellow physicians on the Smartlipo™ technique.

He is a professional member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), American College of Phlebology (ACP), American Association of Physician Specialists (AAPS), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M), Medical Society of Maryland (MedChi) and Society of Aesthetics in Medicine.
